MY MISSION and PASSION Is:

For everyone to feel at ease with movement in their bodies, to give people tools to manage their pain, and to encourage and coach you to find your love for fitness!

I have found that combining my physical assessments, and linking them to an enjoyable exercise program gives you better results. For people who want to take it to the next level and are tired of spinning your wheels, looking at your daily movement and routines gets to the root of the problem. It just makes sense to have someone analyze your movement instead of waiting until you have pain. Of course, not all pain is avoidable. I firmly believe in this model, as I have regular maintenance visits with my physical therapist.

Hillary Jilcott passionately believes in a preventative model of therapy and wellness by encouraging people to take action. A native of Eastern North Carolina, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 with an Exercise and Sport Science degree, and continued her post-graduate education at Elon University, receiving her doctorate in physical therapy in 2007.

In 2013, Dr. Jilcott became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Her focus is studying how the body moves and heals. Dr. Jilcott has spent a portion of her career working in other states as a traveling therapist, which motivated and inspired her to open her small town business. With a thirst for constantly improving her knowledge in her field, she frequently attends continuing education courses in varied subjects such as trigger point dry needling, functional movement assessment, and manual therapy courses through the Institute of Physical Art, among many others. In her spare time, Dr. Jilcott loves dancing with her nieces, laughing with her nephews, working out with everyone, boating with her family, traveling with her friends, and she likes to cook only if you give her the EXACT steps and recipe. ☑
